MEET MICHAEL

Michael Broun was born and raised right here in Northeast Georgia in the Clarke and Oconee County community. It’s where he went to school; where he’s raising his two children, Michael and Charlotte; where he attends church; and it’s where he’s running his small business practicing law. This is his home, his roots, his people, and it’s something worth fighting for - that’s why he’s running for State Senate.

As the grandson of former State Senator Paul Broun Sr., nephew of former conservative Congressman Paul Broun Jr., and law partner of our longtime State Senator Bill Cowsert, Michael carries a legacy of selfless leadership and public service. He’s a no-nonsense conservative fighter rooted in Georgia’s values, ready to protect our families, keep our kids safe, and deliver real results.

A graduate of the University of Georgia, Michael practices law in Athens and the surrounding communities, defending the rights of individuals and small businesses in Oconee, Clarke, Walton, Barrow, and Gwinnett Counties. Outside of the courtroom, he has worked relentlessly with non-profit organizations like the Board of Brightpaths, an organization dedicated to preventing child abuse and neglect, safeguarding our children and strengthening our families.



As our next State Senator, Michael will fight to keep our schools focused on academic success and student excellence, invest in modernizing our infrastructure and supporting our teachers and law enforcement officers to attract new business to our community, and keep our neighborhoods safe. As a strong fiscal conservative, Michael will fight to reduce and eliminate our state income tax, allowing Georgia families to keep more of their hard-earned money.
